Moody Floral

YES! Moody floral is still all the rage.

This season couples are opt’ing in for more natural and dynamic floral installations for their wedding celebrations. A designers #dream.

The Modern' Wedding Dress

Megan Markle may have brought back the traditional wedding dress, but brides in 2019 are opting in for more traditional and modern designers. Some of my favs: Sarah Seven, Elly Sofocli, Rime Arodaky

Velvet

I personally love this trend. I had velvet blush napkins at my wedding this past fall and loved the rich texture and softness.

Coral and More Coral

Bring it! It’s the Pantone color of the year and we will see this color A LOT this year.

Gorgeous Wedding Cakes

Again, cakes too pretty to eat are still in the mix. I’ve said this before, but wedding cakes are less about eating them and more about a decor piece for the reception. Some of my fav cake designs are from Hey There Cupcake, almost too amazing to eat!

Custom Invitations

Invites are moving towards custom designs. From the monogram to a detailed map for guests to enjoy. My favs: Grey & Cake and Swell Press

Spring Design Ideas: Michaels New Home Décor Line

Earlier this month Michaels launched a home décor line. If you're unfamiliar with Michaels, it has been the go-to arts and crafts store for decades! Michael’s is one of my guilty pleasures for seasonal décor and crafts and this new décor line takes Michaels to a whole new level. I’m excited to share some of my favorite items. The line features everything from home décor to outdoor furniture and party supplies.

5 Little rules to live by... When Decorating

I love this pin I found on Pinterest. 

1. The closer something is to your body, the better it should be. TRUE! One thing in my house that I'm constantly changing are my bed sheets. I love crawling into clean sheets, new colors and cozy designs. 

2. Surround yourself with quality, not clutter. I just moved into a new condo. I got rid of so much clutter during the move, so I didn't want to clutter up my new place with treasures from Home Goods, West Elum, TJ Max, etc. I mean, I definitely shopped, but I want to keep it simple and full of quality pieces that I love and couldn't live without. 

3. Every room needs something loving: flowers, goldfish, a pet. My condo is filled with living house plants. A fresh plant or flower, brings life into any room.

4. Honor the acts of daily living. Sometimes it nice to leave a blanket unfolded or magazine out. You don't want company to enter your space and feel like they can't touch anything!

5. Life should sparkle. Every house needs bling. Agreed. I found this awesome silver reindeer mantel and hung it above our TV in the living room. I'm in love with it. Not only does it add a little character to our space; but I love catching people looking at wondering.... What is that? Its my bling.
